Unreliable/untrue content

[edit]

If anyone has any concerns about some of the content in this article, please discuss it here. --Mblumber (talk) 14:16, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the unsourced and poorly sourced/defamatory statements in line with WP:BLP. I'm doing this as an administrator, rather than someone involved in editing the article. The Cavalry (Message me) 17:06, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As an administrator, you should act surgically rather than throwing out the entire article. Please clearly indicate which facts are not being adequately supported.--Mblumber (talk) 19:42, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, as an administrator my job is to remove libellous or overly negative content - you don't 'act surgically' when people's livelihoods are at stake. The Cavalry (Message me) 21:09, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced, undue, unverified

[edit]

I have removed a swathe of material about another person as being undue, but primarily because it is contentious and unsourced about a WP:BLP -- in some case, the citations do not even mention the person concerned. This looks like a concerted effort to introduce negative assertions about this person. Cusop Dingle (talk) 19:17, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed much the same material again, as unsourced and undue. Cusop Dingle (talk) 18:13, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dirty DUI

[edit]

I have cut back to what appears to be supported by the single reference cited here. It should not be expanded beyond what can be supported by independent reliable sources. Cusop Dingle (talk) 06:18, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Comment:

There is now plenty of news on this case, including Butler's guilty plea. It can be easily accessed by anyone and, if anyone wants further support, the court documents that were the source of the news articles can be EASILY found. Butler's associates are charged and indicted, et cetera. This not only allows, but REQUIRES, an airing of the dark side of this story by any administrator who is honest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.115.90.193 (talk) 20:19, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Add information about Federal case

[edit]

at the end of "dropped all charges against Butler" add "while a case against him continued at the federal level. In May 2012, Butler pled guilty to robbery, extortion, and conspiracy, and in September 2012 he was sentenced to eight years in prison.
