Revamp?

[edit]

Wondering what the status with this article is? Will it be kept or deleted? If kept, and if people are interested in a revamp, please write something on my talk page, and I'll take a look into possibly doing it. Some of my other projects: United States Congress (revamp Sep 2010), Priscilla Martel, Broadband mapping in the United States, Two-party system, Gar Waterman, others.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 23:20, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are apparently confused by the above {{oldafdfull}}. The result of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chris Agee was delete. Shortly after the AfD expired I've questioned the rationale of the closing admin, see User_talk:Kevin/Archive_7#Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chris Agee. The article was restored and improved. Feel free to work on it. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 07:16, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I may get to it, possibly, but in a while. Tell me your thoughts about the future direction of the article. What is good? What needs expanding? How would you like to see it?--Tomwsulcer (talk) 13:46, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think the article is in a good shape. I have some concerns with the unreferenced (and superfluous?) claims in the section Chris_Agee#Family_Background. Possible COI? --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 10:59, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you're happy with it, basically, then I won't disturb anything. I've found other projects; I might revamp the article Dating. I agree with your view about family background being superfluous but you're in a better position than me to improve it. I bought Agee's book Next to Nothing -- poems.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 12:47, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Less is more

[edit]

My concern is that there is so much information here which perhaps only a very narrow audience might possibly be interested in; for the rest of us, it looks as if this article is trying too hard, so it makes Agee appear unprofessional and the article's length (in proportion to the subject's notability and fame) is way out of proportion. The overall effect is to make the subject seem dubious, and undermine believability. btw I read one of his poetry books and reviewed it on Amazon; interesting stuff. --Tomwsulcer (talk) 22:01, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
