Skacore?

[edit]

I would definitely classify this band as Skacore. In the opening lines it even defines them as ska - punk/hardcore punk. This is exactly the kind of music Ska - core defines. (71.192.34.220 (talk) 04:26, 22 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Still Active?

[edit]

This band is still on tour! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.168.232.227 (talk) 22:05, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The band members are on tour (possibly even together) but not as Choking Victim (unless I have missed some news in the past couple months). Posimosh (talk) 23:26, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Crack Rock Steady "Movement"

[edit]

A band like Choking Victim changes a genre or creates a new clique within a genre that many bands within (or outside) the genre are influenced by whether they consciously copy said band or not is up for debate. This effect is referred to in reviews at places like dyingscene.com when they refer to a song having "CV-like ska riffs and anti-establishment vocals". This referral often designates the original band that changed the genre. In this case, it is often referred to as the "Crack Rock Steady" sub-genre and I submit that there should be something about this fact in CV's wiki page, however, as I am new here (at least editing-wise), I am unsure how to quantify and incorporate this into the bands Wiki entry.
