Needs a rewrite

No doubt this is a noteworthy encyclopaedia entry, but in its current form it is written like a call to activism instead of a factual description.

Suggestions:

The body should be split into paragraphs, and should only report facts.
There should be more citations (if possible).
Moral judgements should not be part of the article.

I created this as a stub, but haven't been back here for quite a while. The text that's been added since them looks to be a copyvio of this webpage, so I think we should revert back to my original. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on the subject can expand it further.
