Carlos

The synopsis refers to "Carlos," who doesn't seem to be identified anywhere else in the article. Who is that? Arnold Rothstein1921 (talk) 17:29, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Good point! Apparently in past versions of this Wiki article it was mentioned that Carlos was Chico's cousin and I was at least able to find an old TV listing from The Bakersfield Californian that refers to "Cousin Carlos" played by actor Richard Yniguez, so I added that info to the article. Brandon Tartikoff?

Regarding this text in the "Conception" section:

Comedians Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong (better known as the comedic duo Cheech and Chong) have stated that NBC president Brandon Tartikoff sent series creator James Komack to follow the comedians on tour for three months

Tartikoff wasn't NBC president until 1980 and he was an ABC advertising guy in the early '70s, so this claim is a little suspicious. At the very least I'll qualify the "NBC president" part, but was Tartikoff really involved? I don't have access to the cited sources. Regards, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 02:36, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

OK, I got a look at the sources. The NPR interview doesn't mention Tartikoff at all, and the autobiography says nothing about Tartikoff sending Komack anywhere (it just says "they sent Komack" without specifying who they are), so I'm removing the claim altogether. BTW, the first part of this talk page is awesomely old school. Regards, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 03:05, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
