There is a sentence in the article that reads "Each year at the Pride Parade it is about 2.5 miles long of pure joy, happiness and rainbow colors/flags." From my understanding of Wikipedia's editorial standards, this sentence is not acceptable and needs to be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.56.11.74 (talk) 04:38, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What's up with there being no parade listed for 2000? Was there indeed no parade? One might get confused as the "annual number" doesn't miss a beat between 1999 and 2001.

That's now among my corrections. Wbkelley (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 04:43, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is supposed to be an encyclopedia article, it is not for event planning. It shouldn't have weather forcasts for this year's parade. Also the list of dates with no other information isn't really all that useful.

Error in route description for first march

[edit]

Encyclopedia rules don't permit me to rely on my experience for an edit, but I was in the first march in 1970. The cited source is incorrect in its description of the route. The march proceeded east from Bughouse Square, then south on Michigan Avenue to the Water Tower. It didn't proceed south down Dearborn Street, then east along Chicago Avenue to the Water Tower. A video recently included in a WTTW documentary appears to support my assertion, but I hope someone can find a citable and authoritative published source to support the needed edit.
