Verb conjugation in lead

[edit]

Including the conjugated form of the verb in the lead does not follow MOS, "Chewing" should be in "see also" section if at all. Lexlex (talk) 10:22, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, done. Mutt Lunker (talk) 10:26, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
BTW see Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Disambiguation_pages for reference/interpretation. Could be done a couple of ways methinks. I leave it to you for both. Lexlex (talk) 10:33, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Common mispronunciation of "Chew" could be Choo, Jew, Jus, Cius, etc. especially for non-native english speakers. As the MOS does not specifically address this it's open to interpretation. However, it's conceivable that a non-English speaker could ask for a sandwich with "a Jew" (Au Jus) and be completely mystified as to its meaning. This would be a place to look. Stretching it rather too far - as un/likely examples are "a shoe", "a dew"... Adding over-long lists of terms that are on the periphery of conceivability make it more difficult for anyone searching for genuinely likely candidates. Mutt Lunker (talk) 10:31, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose it could get ridiculous. Your call. Lexlex (talk) 10:34, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
