AK was a factory model code used only for 1941 and just for the ½-ton models. See the 1941 Chevrolet specs sheet and the dedicated page on the TrucksPlanet website. Wouldn't the (unofficial) Art Deco name be more accurate, as it is the nickname used by all people interested in these trucks (Stovebolt people, 46chevytruck website, pickuptrucks.com and so on)?
