[edit]If you are interested in keeping the population down without chemicals try this. Put a hose sprayer container on your hose with dish soap as the additive and spray the leaves. This has worked well for me, a strong hose spray alone will knock them off and some people say to throw wood ash in the air and dust the leaves. I havn't tried this it's just for information.
