just a link for the time being to this discussion about it : blue, white, green were the colours Iolo Morganwg devised for the orders of the Gorsedd - Hugh Williams' bardic name was " Cadvan " ( Cadfan ) - bardism was probably a way to transmit Republican values which could not be openly declared. The same flag sans ornaments was promoted by Linton and appeared as the frontispiece of " The English Republic " circa 1850 - and later circa 1870 with a star added it was the National Republican Brotherhood flag.DaiSaw (talk) 00:02, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
