Lots of dead links, try again before marking all of them

[edit]

A few references are marked as dead links today. But the Michelin reference, nearly all the Chicago Tribune references were coming up as 404. Maybe it is a fluke of today. Try on another day to see if any of them are live before marking so many as dead links. New York Times and a few other sources were found. --Prairieplant (talk) 16:05, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was a one-time thing. Now the references marked as dead links are the only ones that would not work. If we leave the dead link, a bot just might come around and find the page wanted on the Wayback Machine, which is why they are marked, not deleted. I added other references for each point now supported by a dead link reference, to strengthen the article. --Prairieplant (talk) 17:22, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
