Name used for second spouse

[edit]

From the "Personal life" section: "Sykes married Diane S. Sykes". Since her name before the marriage was Diane Schwerm, wouldn't that be more appropriate (with the link still using her current name, Sykes) ? I hesitate to make such a personal change, so I'll just raise the question. (As it is, the inference is that he married someone with the same surname, which, while being of no import, is a distraction.) BMJ-pdx (talk) 04:09, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see in in the sidebar that "Diane Schwerm" is used under "Spouses". Here the same reasoning applies in the opposite sense: Since her current surname is Sykes, it seems that should be used in this place. BMJ-pdx (talk) 04:17, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"libertarian"

[edit]

Should Sykes properly be referred to as a "libertarian" or a "Libertarian"? Whether this term is spelled with a lower-case or capital letter makes a lot of difference. 98.123.38.211 (talk) 03:31, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
