  • ... that in her debut novel, The Paper Magician, fantasy author Charlie N. Holmberg followed Brandon Sanderson's advice to limit her characters' magical powers? Source: "particularly in The Paper Magician Series. What brought you to the idea of magicians bonding to their materials? ... I learned from Brandon Sanderson that limits are more interesting than the powers themselves, so I made the characters bond to something specifically instead of willy-nilly controlling whatever they wanted." 5x expanded by Cstickel(byu) (talk). Self-nominated at 20:39, 25 June 2021 (UTC).[reply]

  • Approve hook and image The article was expanded starting on June 25th from ~700 characters to ~5700 characters, exceeding the 5x requirements. Therefore, it is new enough, long enough, reads neutrally, and properly uses in-line citations. The hook is short enough, interesting, and is cited in-line in the article. The QPQ has been done and the image is CC free use and looks fine at small size. Good to go! SilverserenC 18:37, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
