That would appropriate if there were any reason for a user to type either "Charlie Wolf (basketball)" or "Charles Wolf (basketball)" (or a few things differing only as to casing) when they really want one of two topics at Charles Wolf (disambiguation) that have nothing to do with basketball (nor apparently with any sport). The Hatnote could be restored, if and when anyone offers a plausible scenario where it's more than just clutter.
