Redirect
[edit]I wonder how one does a re-direct?DanielDemaret 22:01, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have redirected Lord Moran to Baron Moran, since there may be confusion with his son, a prominent political figure. Drutt (talk) 10:41, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Saved his life
[edit]How did Moran save Churchill's life in 1943? Drutt (talk) 10:41, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- An anecdote I have heard and also read (in a Bible reading notebook, not a proper biography) is that he administered penicillin when Churchill had severe pneumonia. However this needs checking.Cloptonson (talk) 22:00, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Imported information
[edit]I have lifted from the main Wikipedia biography of Churchill and the article on Churchill's later life information into a section I have titled "Churchill's Physician and The Struggle for Survival". I have done some condensation and rephrasing to fit the context of this article. This section would benefit for context from mention of Moran's first professional involvements with Churchill, and any earlier personal acquaintance, which The Struggle for Survival will probably provide.Cloptonson (talk) 22:03, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
- I have filled in on his time as Churchill's physician as well as other aspects of his career, sourced in the Dictionary of National Biography, the later Oxford DNB and Who's Who.Cloptonson (talk) 11:01, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
