Date uncertainty

So there are two sets of dates for the birth and death of this person: one in the leading sentence and a different set in the quote from the memorial. Which is correct?

Also the text "181-82-83" in the quote doesn't mean anything to me. Seems there's something missing here.Rich257 19:04, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
