Good start

I would like to see an expansion of his early life and family info. I see good inline cites, reasonable coverage of the Boomer portion elements, but I want to see more about the Civil war and post Boomer life. The basic structure is present but content, as noted, needs to be expanded upon. While more work is needed, this article is progressing! Good effort so far!
