Birth year

[edit]

Ptrdxn claims he was born in 1951, please see c:Special:Diff/976150257. He could have been born in late 1950, moved in early 1968, and still have been considered 17 years (and some months) old at the time of his move.   — Jeff G. ツ 12:33, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, either [1] or [2] is wrong. It's not blindingly obvious which one, but The Oxford Companion to Australian Literature would seem to be generally WP:RS. One for the Wikipedia:Reference desk/Humanities, perhaps? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:26, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång: Perhaps.   — Jeff G. ツ 02:32, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
https://www.austlit.edu.au/austlit/page/A33687 University of Queensland reports birth date 1951 at Gruyere Victoria Australia Ptrdxn (talk) 07:30, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And like I said, the other source, which seems at least as WP:RS-good, says 1950. I've added the other birth year to the article for now.[3] If you like, you can seek more input at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Humanities or at one of the Wikiprojects linked at the top of this talkpage. Or maybe I should just read properly, they both say 1951. Sorry, will change. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:36, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
