Initial comments:

[edit]
  • "Alston played in both games, becoming the first college athlete to play in both a NCAA football and basketball game in the same day." --> Should this be mentioned in the lead at all? It seems pretty important and quite impressive
  • "In November 2001, Alston was named to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference team.[6]" --> Shouldn't this appear after the September 11 info since November occurred after...?
  • "In February 2008, Alston signed with the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League, but he left the team later that same month." --> Is it possible to include why he left? The article seems to have a bit more related to this.
    • The first article, if I recall correctly, only stated that Alston had signed with the Kansas City Brigade. His leaving is covered only by the transactions log and didn't receive outside coverage as to why. That's common for Arena football players; the sport is very small. ~ Rob13Talk 21:22, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Alston is married to Michelle Alston and has a son, Isaac Charles Alston." --> Any information available to say when his son was born?
  • All publications/websites/journals should be linked for their first appearance in the "References" section – in my experience
  • Per MOS:SMALLCAPS, references #1, 3, 6, 13, 15, and 17-20 should all not include capitalized text such as "ALL-MET FOOTBALL", "FOR THE RECORD", "ACTIVITY", etc.
  • I didn't find any grammatical/punctuational errors which is quite rare, so fantastic work with that.
ON HOLD – take as long as you need. Please contact me with any questions. Thanks, Carbrera (talk) 03:09, 23 June 2017 (UTC).[reply]
@Carbrera: This is ready for a second look. If at all possible, could you try to look at this quickly? The WikiCup cutoff is coming up in a few hours, I believe, and I hadn't realized I was just outside the next round cutoff. Thank you so much for the review and sorry this took a while to get to. This month has been crazy for me, punctuated by a computer issue that prevented me from doing much over the last 48 hours. ~ Rob13Talk 21:22, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I have no outstanding issues with the article. In fact, I apologize that it took me so long to review this. Hopefully your computer is back up and running like usual. Regards, Carbrera (talk) 21:37, 28 June 2017 (UTC).[reply]
