Top speed?[edit]

Chariot Mark I

Produced from 1942, the Mark I was 6.8 m (22 feet 4 inches) long, 0.9 m (2 feet 11 inches) wide, 1.2 m (3 feet 11 inches) high, capable of a speed of 2.5 knots (4.6 km/h) and weighed 1.6 tonnes. It had a maximum diving depth of 27 m (89 ft). Its motor had three settings: slow, medium and full. Its top speed was about 3.5 knots.

How fast was this torpedo? 2.5 knots or 3.5? Was one its surface speed and the other submerged? 13:55, 4 July 2024 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cmarkn (talkcontribs)
