Question
[edit]Does Patrick imply that Coroticus and his men are non-Christian Britons, as they are "associates" of Scots? Or does the tone of the letter suggest he is ticking off a fellow Christian?

excommunicated
[edit]Hello Cuchullain, the excommunication is also noted in the reference I cited, as you can see at the bottom of this page. I should have noted it when I included the mention of St. Patrick, mea culpa (the article is otherwise not my contribution). However, you might expand on the two citations that you include, De Paor and Thomas ... looks like a clerical error where you copied from in-line citations from elsewhere, but forgot to bring along the full reference.
