CORRECT name of the series

[edit]

The proper name of the series is "Centurions: Power X Treme" and not "The Centurions". It's visually depicted as "Centurions: Power X Treme" at the very end of the series opening and on the toy franchise packages, as well as on the merchandising. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.98.33.163 (talk) 19:25, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

I'm not sure on Wikipedia's image policies, but this site has pictures of all of the main characters and many of the Centurions' assault suits. Maybe someone would like to add some color to the article?

Order of Episodes?

[edit]

Rex Charger and John Thunder are "introduced" in Man or Machine Part 1 #61, but Rex Charger is at least also present in Let the Lightning Fall #51 (and possibly others---I'm not watching them in order). What gives?

The last five episodes comprising "Man or Machine" do actually feature the formal introduction of both Rex Charger and John Thunder. Although obviously produced as the last episodes of the series, the story does indeed take place prior to several of the series episodes featuring the New Centurions, like "Let the Lightning Fall" and several other episodes. Neither production or airdate order reflects a proper chronological order for the series.

I put up a suggested Episode that more or less makes chronological sense in providing proper series contuinity. The Rex Charger / John Thunder characters being out of place is the major deviation but there are others as well, involving Sea Lab's destruction and the introduction of the Swingshot weapon system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.160.117.52 (talk) 21:33, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DVD release?

[edit]

Anybody know of any possibility this show would be released on DVD? That'd be great.

I've been scouring the net for information on a DVD release for about 8 months now, with no luck. But I do think it's a matter of when and not if. The Kinslayer 10.29 GMT 15/08/2006

I have not seen this show, but it sure look similar in concept. A possible influence? Luis Dantas (talk) 13:04, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was watching some Getter Robo intros in YouTube, hum... the Centurions never mixed in one single CENTURION-MECHA, I don't think those series have much in common. Instead, I guess there's a lot in common between Getter Robo and Albegas.--Simon Le Bon (talk) 20:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Similar to Power Rangers

[edit]

Doesn't the Power Rangers series seem similar to this series? I mean, it consists of a bunch of villians who want to take over the world and then a group of heroes who want to prevent it from happening ably assisted by their allies and them transform into zords and destroy evil? Crystal seems so much like Cam from PRNS and/or Andrew Hartford from PROO. Doc Terror is like the Master from PRMF (the master of all evil) and the centurions themselves are like the Power Rangers, destroying all evil. I know this is not a discussion forum, but don't the similarities seem a bit too striking?? Thanks 59.184.130.126 (talk) 05:36, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have never heard of Sentai or Tokusatsu have you?

And besides that, there's no simularities at all.

1. The Master wasnt a partial cyborg who specalised in robotics. Doc Terror is also one of many terrorists in the series 2. Cameron and Hartford are stereotypes, not characters that borrowed anything that hasnt been seen before from hi-tech allies who deploy weapons 3. The Centurions are no different from other heroes that "destroy all evil"

You are either five years old or you've never watched anything but Power Rangers and Centurions.

Sorry there's no simularities at all. --Simon Le Bon (talk) 21:37, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Toy Line

[edit]

Considering the cartoon was mainly conceived as a vessel to market toys (like many 80's cartoons), the actual detail given on the toys seems rather short. Could possibly do with some expansion. Dshaffer111 (talk) 19:16, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Detail: Necessary/appropriate?

[edit]

Is the level of detail in the Assault Weapon Systems section really appropriate? I mean, I agree the show was notable as a show, because it was on the air in major markets, etc., but I'm doubtful about whether a bunch of unsourced commentary about obscure fantasy weaponry with no literary significance is consistent with the purpose of Wikipedia.71.163.128.243 (talk) 15:22, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it should be removed per WP:Writing about fiction and WP:CRUFT. A shorter paragraph could possibly be constructed using independent, reliable sources. Marasmusine (talk) 22:50, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
