I read your interesting article and have to give you a precision. Actually, Globeholding haven't bought the patents of the hubless wheel to franco Sbarro but has patented it. That's quite different when we know how complicate it is to patent something and the rules of Intellectual Property. Thank you for you encyclopedia.

Merge with Osmos Wheel

[edit]

It has been proposed to merge the Orbital wheel with the Hubless wheel article. I would strongly agree. It seems to me like the Osmos wheel described in the Orbital wheel article is a special case of the Hubless wheel, where the axle is round, hollow and only slightly smaller then the wheel itself. The Hubless wheel article only mentions the Osmos Wheel as an example anyway. There are other examples of hubless wheels, like the Hailfire droid from Star Wars or some Monowheel designs. In those other designs, there is not really such thing as an "axle" anymore. Instead, the Wheel is stiff and connected to the machine inside the wheel at just a few places.

So, is there a reason against merging them all into one article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krystman (talkcontribs) 15:40, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It seems reasonable to merge the Hubless wheel in India stub to here. Klbrain (talk) 22:10, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
