Tigray Statistics Agency

[edit]

I was reading somewhere that there is a separate branch or charter for Tigray to have their own "Statistical Agency". Sorry, I lost that citation and couldn't find it again.

Here is their old website, which I presume is down because of the Tigray War (as are many websites ending in ".et".[1]

Tigray Statistics Agency was mentioned in several documents on Humanitarian Response/OCHA's website. Try this search string on any search engine: "tigray statistical agency" site:humanitarianresponse.info. Same thing on reliefweb.int website.

Just leaving this info here. Platonk (talk) 08:48, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Status of later censuses?

[edit]

IIRC, the intent of the CSA was to have a national census every tenth year, starting with 1995. The second census was delayed due to organizational issues to 2007. However, while I admit I haven't paid much attention to the matter, I have not heard of a census in 2015 or 2017. Has there been any reports about whether one has been conducted, & if not why? -- llywrch (talk) 21:53, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
