I wrote similar material for the COWS website. I will see about making it clear that it is OK to use this in public. Esundquist (talk) 19:54, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Center on Wisconsin StrategyCOWS – Per WP:ACRONYMTITLE Dat GuyTalkContribs 14:50, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose see Caloric reflex test per Harrison's Neurology in Clinical Medicine "The acronym “COWS” has been used to remind generations of medical students of the direction of nystagmus—“cold water opposite, warm water same”) In ictu oculi (talk) 16:24, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per above as well as 'Cow' or 'Cows' now link to Cattle, which would be the primary for both words. COWS means nothing to most people, except as multiple cows, while 'Center on Wisconsin Strategy' is self-descriptive and understandable. Randy Kryn (talk) 19:55, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • OpposeWP:ACRONYMTITLE says: "In general, if readers somewhat familiar with the subject are likely to only recognise the name by its acronym, then the acronym should be used as a title." I doubt anyone would see "COWS" and immediately think of the Center on Wisconsin Strategy. V2Blast (talk) 09:15, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
