[edit]Refimprove = I've placed this tag because the current references (that I can access) are press releases. The one that is from a "blog" I can't access but, the majority of "blogs" are not considered reliable sources in accordance with WP:RS.
Advert = I've placed because the article itself reads like it is intended as a press release (perhaps even with bits copied verbatim).
I know the creator of the article may not agree but, items of this nature should also be addressed by others on this article before we enter into WP:OWN territory. Thanks. Jasynnash2 (talk) 12:25, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Hello, thanks for your comments. The blog reference was to a reliable, established newspaper that for some reason uses blogspot for publishing online :-). In any event, I've replaced this with another from an environmental group that references the same topic.
Regarding the other references - I don't think any of them are actual press releases. Although there are some references to newspaper articles, I believe these constitute unbiased reportage from a variety of reliable independent media sources. I'd welcome discussion on this.
Regarding the Advert tag - The intention of the article is to be as informative as possible and I've endeavoured to be unbiased and write the article from a neutral perspective. Again, I'd welcome comments on how this could be improved if some of it sounds overtly promotional in tone.Colinky (talk) 13:28, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- As a guy who used to right them for a living believe me when I say they are essentially press releases. I'm sure such a "notable" company must have appropriate coverage elsewhere (though GNews only has press releases). As for the advertiness best suggestion I can offer is let someone else deal with it (that is after all part of the reason for tagging these things)Jasynnash2 (talk) 14:12, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- On the advert thing you have to remove "peacock" words and phrases. They aren't for instance the "industry leader", "premier", "unique", etc unless that is 100% sourced to a reliable 3rd party. Jasynnash2 (talk) 14:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
