Too much technical detail?

[edit]

It seems as though, for a non-musician coming across this article, there is a lot more technical detail than might be wanted or needed. This could scare away general classical music listeners or readers from reading it. Perhaps, as the saying goes, less would be more here. Jonyungk (talk) 03:42, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rachmaninov Schostakovich quote

[edit]

I cannot find any reference to support this anywhere on the internet.

It's been tagged with "citation needed" for a long time. I think it should be removed, but I don't know if bots will immediately revert it if I do so, so some more experienced editor should probably take care of it. --84.119.42.103 (talk) 13:46, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A previous editor has provided a reference, but appears to have attached the reference to the wrong item. I have now corrected this.

The description as it stood was interesting, but appeared to be largely unsourced. I have added a cross-reference to Tovey's analysis. Hyperman 42 (talk) 16:27, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
