Pseudomonas coverage
[edit]The article lists Cefotaxime as not being active against Pseudomonas spp.
I found this rather odd, as most literature online indicates susceptibility to Cefotaxime (with MIC ranges similar to that of Ceftazidime). It may not be used as often as ceftazidime, cefepime, anti-pseudomonal penicillins or carbapenems, but research suggests it does have anti-pseudomonal activity. Lack of use does not indicate lack of efficacy; gentamicin also has anti-pseudomonal coverage, but hardly ever used.
