Newsflash: The British Won the Crimean War
To say that the British lost the Crimean War is simply not true. Thought Cicil Woodham-Smith was correct in her conclusion that the battle for Balaclava was a fiasco the war ended with the fall of Sevastopol to the British. For this reason its hardly believable that the Russians won the war. Its certainly true that the Russian goal of protecting Orthodox subjects within the Turkish Empire was not realized.
