[edit]I had the privilege of speaking with Cecil several years ago and he was working on his book about bass improvisation and instruction. As far as I can tell the book has not yet been published. Perhaps the New England Conservatory can provide more current information on the book's progress. Thank you. A Bit More Human (talk) 02:45, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
RS showing his critical standing in comparison to peers?
[edit]I don't have access to the biography listed in the article, but does anyone have a source relating him to Art Davis or Wilbur Ware, critically speaking? I would think that his ability to compose and write musical notation in manuscript would rank him higher than many like Steve Workman or Jimmy Garrison . . . he's not as technique-driven as Stanley Clarke, but what about Charlie Haden or Scott LaFaro? Anyway, it would make an interesting topic for the article.HammerFilmFan (talk) 11:05, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
