The Cathouse cable series was highly fictionalized. The customers shown were, according to the small print at the end of the closing credits, selected by the management/producers and not the ordinary clientele. The series tended to highlight the concept that the ladies got tremendous job satisfaction and fun working in the brothel. It did not, for example, mention that Nevada law and practice effectively turned the brothels into places of fulltime confinement (for weeks at a time) for the sex workers. The series was further fictionalized by spicing up the crew with a smattering of porn stars - Isabella Soprano, Sunny Lane, et al. - who were considerably more attractive than the usual staff and who undoubtedly were not offered to ordinary customers.
