Nationality

[edit]

I have changed Davies' nationality to Welsh as per the Wikipedia protocols on British nationalities. Davies was born in Wales, and described herself as "a native of Wales" in her writing (see Eleven Years' Residence in the Family of Murat, King of Naples, pages 30-31).

Jane Aaron in Nineteenth-Century Women's Writing in Wales: Nation, Gender, Identity discusses how people from Great Britain used the term "English" to identify their nation state (Great Britain), rather than their nationality as we would understand it today.
