Article title change request

[edit]

I recently edited this Wikipedia article in its entirety as to add some context and information, make it more accurate and less gendered. To this end, I also wanted to modify the title of the article. The current name of this page is Catharina Cramer and the problem is that Cramer was her first husband's name. However, she is not known by that name. She is famous as a midwife by her maiden name, Schrader. It does not make any sense to call her Catharina Cramer when every single source and book which mention her call her Catharina Schrader. Using her husband's name is only a product of the patriarchy which is not what History should be about. Furthermore, when someone hears about this famous midwife from the Early Modern Europe, they will search Schrader on the internet, not Cramer, and thus they will be confused when the Wikipedia article that pops up is entitled Catharina Cramer. That happened to me, and I thought that was a different person. In the interest of future Wikipedia users and in order to respect and honor her name and legacy, I believe it is imperative that 'Catharina Cramer' 's Wikipedia article be renamed 'Catharina Schrader'. I unfortunately have not the ability to make that change myself, this is why I am asking anyone who will read this to do it for me as it would be a considerable improvement. Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EmilieAFx (talkcontribs) 18:32, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
