Catalans vs Ottomans ?
[edit]This article is in urgent need of an expert attention. In the openning years of 1300 s Ottoman beylik was a very small beylik and it was impossible for Ottomans to raise an army of a few thousand let alone a death loss of 18 000. Besides Philadelphia (Alaşehir) was at least 200 km. south of beylik territory. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 13:24, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Suggested expansion and re-name
[edit]This page really ought to cover the whole Catalan Vengeance (and probably be titled that way) and not be restricted to Asia Minor. They rampaged in Thessaly and the Peloponnese as well. The book by Lowe, who wasn't a historian, is apparently reliable. Srnec (talk) 01:42, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- I agree, but maybe this article should be divided in 2:
- The Catalan Campaign in Asia Minor (this one)
- Catalan Vengeance, Catalan Revenge, Catalan campaign in Greece or Byzantine-Catalan War (I would be willing to create this last one)
- These are different conflicts so I don't know why should they be in the same article RobertJohnson35 (talk) 18:16, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
