Questionable claim about title deed

[edit]

"Lady Amanda Carruthers currently holds the sole title deeds to Castle Sinclair Girnigoe registration no #120439"

Does this person actually exist? I can't find any reference to them outside of this edit and webpages quoting it. While the website for the Clan Sinclair Trust (http://www.clansinclair.org/ClanSinclairTrust.htm) is massively dated, and the website for the castle itself appears to have been taken over and filled by AI-type generative junk (https://castlesinclairgirnigoe.org/), the Clan Sinclair Trust still seems to be a going concern, and there is no Amanda Carruthers listed among the officers (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/SC194021/officers). And I found a number of contemporary (i.e. 2024) articles referencing the Clan Sinclair Trust being the owners, such as https://www.johnogroat-journal.co.uk/news/major-caithness-tourist-destination-closed-due-to-falling-ma-343566/ .

Unfortunately, the ruins of Sinclair Girngoe are too old to be on the Scot LIS online registry, presumably being in the sasines, but I am extremely skeptical of this unvalidated, unreferenced claim (especially given the lack of punctuation and the spelling error the first time it was entered), and suspect it may be part of someone's scam. Like @Glane23, I am removing this until it is backed up with a source. 157.131.85.102 (talk) 02:16, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
