The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Casein kinase 1/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

I think this sentence is misleading and should be changed:

"Casein kinase activity associated with the endoplasmic reticulum of mammary glands was first characterized in 1974 and its activity was shown to not depend on cyclic AMP [2]."

In my opinion a 35 year old article should not be the difinitive authority on Ck1 activity since much of the more =1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum current research shows cAMP to have an important role in Ck1 phosphorylation and regulation.
