I think this sentence is misleading and should be changed:
"Casein kinase activity associated with the endoplasmic reticulum of mammary glands was first characterized in 1974 and its activity was shown to not depend on cyclic AMP [2]." In my opinion a 35 year old article should not be the difinitive authority on Ck1 activity since much of the more =1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum current research shows cAMP to have an important role in Ck1 phosphorylation and regulation. --Dzachs (talk) 18:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC) |
