If Carey was born in 1972, he couldn't have been 3 years old in 1977 for the movie as the text says, but 5 years old. Need a little clarity here. 199.114.231.226 (talk) 00:59, 18 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The text has been changed since the above, but it may have been a confusion arising from the fact that, according to the Close Encounters Wikipedia page, he was cast for the movie aged three.
