Cartooniverse
What was the beta web address location of Cartooniverse? --Josh 21:07, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Please
Once again I appologize 209.152.185.179. I was not aware that you worked on the website. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I hope you will still contribute to the page, but if you do not want to, it is understandable. Thank you for what you have contributed so far. --Josh 17:33, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Links to Groups
Shouldn't we get rid of these? I mean, it is just advertising for these groups. I thought that was against the rules. --Dexter111344 23:53, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
I deleted the user groups because I found no reason for them to be here. --Dexter111344 06:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, user forums and fansites are listed in the "don't link" part of WP:EL -- JHunterJ 12:13, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Usergroups
I understand Wiki's policy on web links, however fansites are currently the only way of finding other members to trade and keeping breast of changes. These groups (at least one of them) was very instumental in the development of Orbit in it's early years. With the current environment in Cartoon Orbit, these links allow readers of the 'pedia to find up-to-date information that simply can't be continuously updated here. They also link to Orbit's history which simply can NOT be completely documented here. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.184.247.195 (talk • contribs) 16:14, 9 September 2006 (UTC).
- The instrumental site(s) should probably have its own Wikipedia entry, then, if it meets notability. -- JHunterJ 20:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Now that the closure has occured, I think the user groups section needs to be retired and removed. No Orbit = No need for user group links. 72.184.247.195 20:09, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
End Of Orbit
- According to a number of sources, and some of my own personal sources at both Cartoon Network and Williams Street, Cartoon Network will have an official announcement of it's end on 10/2. Sad, but hey life goes on. You citation will be there then. --Malach 15:10, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
No Reason
I'm going to remove the Cartoon Orbit Link, as if you click the link, all you se is a picture of Edwardo covering his eyes, instead of online traiding cards. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sonicfeet (talk • contribs) 18:09, 25 February 2007 (UTC).
Please put back the link. I would like to see this picture of Edwardo covering his eyes.--24.245.45.125 21:00, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Logocarorb2.GIF
Image:Logocarorb2.GIF is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:13, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
'Official Archive Site'
There are no off-Turner official sites. While it is admirable that someone is trying to archive everything that was Cartoon Orbit, the site is an infringement upon TW's copyrights. Just as links to download TV shows/etc are removed from Wikipedia, so too I removed that link.

Orbit has nothing to do with Fusion Fall
I'm going to remove the link to a news story about Fusion Fall. It has nothing to do with Orbit at all. There's no mention of Orbit and has no educational use for anyone wondering about Cartoon Orbit.CN Guy (talk) 19:32, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Directly linking?
How would you directly link to Cartoon Orbit? Don't say www.cartoonorbit.com because it just gives me Google search results. This is mentioned in the last section of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paper Luigi (talk • contribs) 21:00, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Edit-warring
There appears to be a dispute on this article. Instead of edit-warring about it, please try one of the steps at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution, such as trying to discuss it at the talkpage. Thanks, --Elonka 05:21, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Adding Referral Links
I'm Taco, a staff member of CollecToons. At the bottom of the page there are two links to CollecToons, both of which linking to a registration page hooked with a referral ID. I have changed it so instead of it linking to a registration page with a referral ID, it now links to the homepage as it originally was supposed to be, leave it alone or you will be punished ingame. I ask for someone to keep this Wiki permanently locked.
Actually, this is considered advertising, which you're not allowed to do on Wikipedia. If your site is "worthy" per se, of having a link, please discuss it with your fellow editors. 205.238.209.178 (talk) 01:46, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
I just removed two CollecToons users referral links from this article and replaced it with the homepage of CollecToons. Blsupr (talk) 19:45, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
This article is NOT about collectoons as collectoons was a fanmade spinoff of orbit. This article should be about Cartoon Orbit and no more unless it is related and notable.Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:56, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Obsolete
I have read the article and on the section "Key Dates", I have read that "as of June 3, 2007, directly linking to the site reveals a notice stating that Cartoon Orbit has closed, with an FAQ link". I found that information to be false. It is true that direct link led you to a notice starting on June, 2007. But that info is now out of date. Why? Because if you go into the address bar and type in the direct link to Cartoon Orbit, it will redirect you to the Cartoonnetwork.com Home Page. According to the article, it only says that it goes to a notice page, but it doesn't say anything about the link redirecting to the home page. I cannot add this now since I do not know on what date this took effect. But if you know when, than add it to (and update) this article. Jerrysmp (talk) 18:17, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- I just went ahead and was bold and deleted it, it wasent really a key date, just something funny that happened after orbit was closed.Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:59, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
