Some locals pronounce the town name as, " 'nation". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.213.194.202 (talk) 14:22, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Climate data

[edit]

I'm wondering if the climate data from the Tolt Reservoir is meaningful for Carnation. That station is at elevation 2,000 feet and maybe 15 miles east of Carnation proper. At that elevation in the region, snow and precipitation totals can be much higher than near sea level. Declangi (talk) 01:48, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's too far from Carnation and, as you said, has a different climate. SounderBruce 10:17, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@SounderBruce: I've now removed the table rows that were sourced to the Tolt Reservoir, specifically: Mean daily maximum, Daily mean, Mean daily minimum, Average precipitation, Average snowfall, Average precipitation days, Average snowy days. The remaining data, which may have been sourced to NWS Seattle data, may not be very useful, but I wanted to deal with the Tolt Reservoir data first. Thanks, Declangi (talk) 01:34, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
