Alternate lyrics?
[edit]- Rondstadt's version includes an alternate lyric that has Ronstadt pawning her "Smith & Wesson" as opposed to Zevon's "Smith Corona":
The recording I've found of McLaughlin's version says "Smith & Wesson", so it seems like Zevon's version - while more well known - might be the alternate lyrics, and Rondstadt's are closer to the original.
