This page needs some work, to iron out things like "a speech fluent in elegance and truth about the surrounding, many times quotidian, world, with a fluidity of thought" (whatever that means). And is "rancid" being used with an understanding of what the word actually means? Chris k 02:09, 1 April 2006 (UTC) (187.127.107.184 (talk) 00:13, 11 March 2011 (UTC)) Copyright...[reply]

Drummond?

[edit]

I wonder if the Portuguese Drummond family is related to the Scottish one? --195.137.93.171 (talk) 23:33, 27 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Communist?"

[edit]

I have no opinion as to whether or not it's appropriate to include Drummond de Andrade within categories like "Brazilian communists," but there is some evidence that he was a CP member at one time. For example:

"Moderates, including Mário de Andrade and Rodrigo Melo Franco de Andrade, and future Communist Party members, including Oscar Niemeyer, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, and Cândido Portinari, accepted employment or commissions..."
