"Last public appearance" section

[edit]

I admit that I initially misread this section to mean that it was Castro that the medium had claimed to contact, but even now that I see I was mistaken, there is no reason for this section. It is completely trivial and has no relevance to Castro's life or achievements. Having a separate section gives this undue weight. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 01:34, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It probably shouldn't have it's own section, yes, but it seems fairly important, in the fact that there was a pretty big outcry over the airing of the episode because it had him in it. SilverserenC 02:05, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure that in the context of a 35 year career it is at all important. Besides, two of the sources appear to be merely reporting on the original report in "i", but I don't read Portuguese, so I may be mistaken. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 04:35, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Activist

[edit]

I was more than a little amused by the mention that he was a homossexual rights activist :) He was not considered as such during his lifetime, nor did he consider himself to be one. As a matter of fact, he did use to knock on homossexual people and their rights from time to time, and used disparaging language such as "bichonas", "paneleiras" (f*ggots, c*cksuckers), from what I recall. I suggest we remove this mention unless there is a (I think very unlikely) solid source out there. 87.196.236.133 (talk) 03:04, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and if you need any translation, I'm available, just drop me a word on this page. Cheerio! 87.196.236.133 (talk) 03:06, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
