Corncob

[edit]

A variant of one of the listed games, (if it may be called that), this was "played" in New York in the 1950s: When an out-of-plate license plate was spotted, the spotter would punch someone and yell, "corncob [name of state]!" Kostaki mou (talk) 16:28, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

A Canadian game show Bumper Stumpers, recorded from 1987 to 1990, involves trying to decide or interpret unusual vanity plates.

There might be some way to maybe a mention of this, I have played the Alphabet Game on long trips but definitely whenever I see a vanity plate, I try to decipher it. Mechachleopteryx (talk) 03:20, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I've added a section for similar games, and put a link to Bumper Stumpers. --Lord Belbury (talk) 07:28, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
