Captain Rainbow based on Action Bastard?
[edit]Is it worth noting that Captain Rainbow greatly resembles Action Bastard from Shinchan? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.3.7.129 (talk) 05:52, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid not; however, both Action Bastard and Captain Rainbow are "tokusatsu" heroes, much like the Ultraman series, the Kamen Rider series, the Power Rangers/Super Sentai series, Bravoman, etc. Parrothead1983 (talk) 21:40, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Unknown Character
[edit]From what Nintendo game is Tracy (the girl from trailer 4) from? Mat rix 007 (talk) 18:37, 30 July 2008 (UTC) Hard to say. Maybe Links Awakening, there is a Tracy in that. Also, there is one in Earthbound. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drkirby (talk • contribs) 23:51, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
definitely Crazy Tracy from Link's awakening. it was just confirmed in Famitsu. Mopinks (talk) 12:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm a bit confused now because users added different wishes for Tracy. One wrote that she wants to become a damsel in distress, now the article says that she wants to enslave all the men in the world. What's correct, actually? What does the Famitsu article tell (I don't understand Japanese)? --Grandy02 (talk) 17:22, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- I translated it incorrectly at first, but went back and changed it. what's there now is the proper translation. Mopinks (talk) 17:49, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for your answer! :-) --Grandy02 (talk) 18:10, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Game and Watch
[edit]There is an image on Amazon which shows a new character, which looks like Game and Watch: http://ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/51c2i8qtJpL._SS400_.jpg --Drkirby (talk) 05:10, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- No it isn't, it's one of the enemies. Rhonin the wizard (talk) 05:41, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Otsu-San or Ossan?
[edit]In the character list, one character is named "Otsu-San". I looked at the scan (upper-right corner), and it could either mean "おっさん" (Ossan) and "おつさん" (Otsu-san). Furthermore, I got much more Google results when searching for "Captain Rainbow" and "Ossan" (in Japanese) than for "Captain Rainbow" and "Otsu-San". What do you think, shouldn't it be renamed? And the game he's from is just named Golf in the scan, not Famicom Golf. --Grandy02 (talk) 16:28, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Furthermore, isn't it Mimin Island? ミミン is Mimin, not Minmin as it is written in the article. --Grandy02 (talk) 12:37, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- it's a little hard to tell, but yeah, it looks more like 'Ossan' in that scan. Mopinks (talk) 01:50, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- Now you can also view his name by clicking on him on this map. It is "おっさん" (Ossan), isn't it? It would also make sense since "ossan" means "old man". --Grandy02 (talk) 11:34, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Japanese or English names?
[edit]I noticed that Birdo's Japanese name Catherine is preferred in her own paragraph. But in Mappo and Little Mac's paragraphs, the English name Birdo is used. Furthermore, Piranha Plant and Drake Redcrest are known as Packun Flower and Gitchoman in Japanese, respectively, but only the English names are mentioned. There should be a consistent way of naming for this article. --Grandy02 (talk) 14:27, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Since this is the English Wikipedia, we should stick with the English names. Rhonin the wizard (talk) 16:08, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

fish

Release date for Australasia?
[edit]The user Daftpunkboy93 added a "to be confirmed" release date for Australasia. If that is true, what's the source for a possible release there? --Grandy02 (talk) 12:44, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Birdo / Catherine
[edit]Why is Birdo's gender ambiguity part of this article? "Its" a "him" in Captain Rainbow. He is arrested for walking into a woman's restroom, being male. There's a part where you must "prove" he is "female" (because Birdo thinks he is).
This really doesn't belong here. I'm changing it. Drumpler (talk) 01:46, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
