[edit]The follow statement is untrue and slanderous, and I have removed it:
Both Georgetown and Stanford have buildings named Cafaro now.
Oh, please. Show us any evidence for this outrageous claim.
This "biography" should include some reference to Capri Cafaro's role in bribing Congressman James Traficant. It seems odd that you would omit it. It is well known and was covered at length by the local media during her loss to Steve LaTourette.
If you want to include such information, I would suggest you use language that's less POV and back up any accusations with substantiation. Acsenray 19:29, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
Her father JJ Cafaro was convicted and is a FELON for his part in the bribing of TrafiCANT.
Note that her father was convicted, not Ms. Cafaro herself.
Follow up:
"Note that her father was convicted, not Ms. Cafaro herself."
Capri Cafaro was granted immunity in exchange for testifying against her father regarding bribes that were paid to benefit her company, U.S. Aerospace Group. (She was President of USAG, a fact that is missing from the Wikipedia biography.) Other witnesses that testified in federal court and in front of the House Ethics Committee directly implicated Capri Cafaro in illegal activities, such as "exchanging" envelopes containing as much as $12,000 in cash.
This was well-covered by the local media. For example, here is an article from mid-October 2004: http://www.starbeacon.com/index.asp?MC=NEWS&NID=1&AID=6361
Capri Cafaro was granted immunity from prosecution in 2002 when she testified in the bribery trial of a company official . . . Cafaro, now 26, also testified against her father, J.J. Cafaro, who pleaded guilty and Traficant . . .
Cafaro . . . last week told the Star Beacon she was “absolutely was not” threatened with prosecution . . . However, transcripts from the Detore trial tell another story.''
Given the grant of immunity, the lack of a conviction hardly seems like an adequate response.
She was never charged with any crime because she herself never committed any crime.
Case Closed.

[edit]This article is poorly written, IMO. POV lanuage aside, it should probably be cleaned up a bit.
