Murder during construction

[edit]

I've been told that during the construction the building, two of the workers got into an argument, and one either threw the other down an elevator shaft to his death, or killed him and then threw his body down it (the former is probably the more likely of the two). Has anyone else ever heard this? I'm in the process of asking sources about it. It would be a cool addition to the article if I could find an online sourcing for it. --98.232.181.201 (talk) 03:41, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Never heard that before and didn't come across it when I wrote the article. Might be true, but might be a nice urban legend too. If you find some sources (the state library has all the old newspapers on microfiche and an index that would make it fairly easy to find) please add it to the article. FYI, might search under the old name of the building and not the current name. Aboutmovies (talk) 06:25, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having trouble finding mention of it online. :( The name associated with the building at the time was the First National Bank Building, so that's what I'd been searching under. --24.20.236.62 (talk) 00:23, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
