I have realised that I do not know the correct pronunciation of Canbelego. Can anyone assist? Preferably transcribe 'Canbelego' into phonetic script for the correct pronunciation to include in the article.TrimmerinWiki (talk) 06:13, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Under the sub-heading 'Wartime' it is mentioned that there are 17 men not shown in the two 'Rolls of Honour', but who were in a list of volunteers in a February 1917 newspaper report. In case anyone has an interest who the names are: J. Brine, F.J. Cox, John Dart, J. Hackett, George Hardwick, J. Hurley, J.H. Hynde (or possibly Hynds), James Lang, Maurice Levy, David Lewis, , L. Parker, Thomas Ryan, H. Tarrant, J. Taverner, J. Taylor, A. Wallace, W.H. Yates. Then there are three more names of volunteers from a list in a newspaper report of August 1916, Augustus Matthews, Harry Nichols and Jack Roff. In addition, there is the one name mentioned in the article, which is in none of the four above sources (W.J. Murphy, 7th Light Horse, who is known from a report of his wounding).TrimmerinWiki (talk) 11:02, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
