[edit]I added the Wikify tag. It didn't make a lot of sense so maybe it should be described and then put in list form or something? Maybe someone has a better idea. Dreambeaver (talk) 01:57, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]Although, the Canadian chartered bank notes is the better article, the title is too narrowly defined and the list includes non-chartered banks such as the Hudson's Bay Company, which was a trading company issuing its own currency. Canadian banknote issuers is the broader and better title. Perhaps the revised sections could be Government, Trading companies, Chartered banks, Spurious issuers or non-circulated currency, and British West Indies issues. If a defunct issuer is not on the Defunct and merged banks in Canada list, it is likely spurious or never operated. DMBanks1 (talk) 15:33, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- Merger complete.
- Note that I've done this as a full-content merge, then editors can improve/restructure in situ. I agree with the vision for a new strucutre, but don't have the expertise to distinguish the Government/Trading companies/Chartered banks distinction. Klbrain (talk) 12:16, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
