Re-editing

[edit]

I'm in the process of re-editing the article on the CSOR because more info has become available on its activities. This will likely take some time so please bear with me. L.J. Brooks (talk) 19:06, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:Csorig-roscri-03.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Csorig-roscri-03.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

This is getting silly

[edit]

The Canadian Special Operations Regiment is not a branch of the Canadian Army. It is mostly composed of soldiers from the Canadian Army, but it is not in the Army. The Army is an environmental command and has no control whatsoever on CSOR's operations. The Land Staff (Army chain of command) is unrelated to the staff of CANSOFCOM. CSOR recruits from all three environmental commands, by the way. Please restore the correct revision. (Same discussion at Talk:Joint Task Force 2) CharlieEchoTango 19:01, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I presume that this is being driven by people for other countries who do not understand the structure of the Canadian armed forces and who are more used to thinking in Army, Navy and Air Force stove pipes, as exist in most other countries. Blackshod (talk) 20:24, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for undoing the edit. I notified the user of this discussion so we can avoid a silly edit-war. Joint Task Force 2 still has the edit though, which I've already reverted twice. Best, CharlieEchoTango 20:56, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
