I'm going to suggest that this article needs to be moved to a title that's something like Canadian Amateur Golf Championship -- but I'm not sure of exactly where the name of the sport comes in other such descriptions. I'll check into this. In the meantime, I've added the reflist tag so the references can be viewed. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I really have tried to figure this out but no universal constant for naming comes to view. I'm suggesting Canadian Amateur Championship (golf) since there is definitely more than one Canadian amateur championship in respect of sport. I realize that the current title is what the event is called in golf, I'm just trying to consider people who are looking for information on another sport. If someone were to make the title of this article more precise, I think that would be a good idea. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:56, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm suggesting that comparison be done to other important golf championships, such as the U.S. Amateur Championship and the British Amateur Championship. Golf may have pride of place here, because it usually got established first with that name. FrankEldonDixon, 14:11 p.m., May 5, 2008 FrankEldonDixon (talk) 18:11, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
